A note from the artist:

This recording is titled “Slaktsvin”, which is Swedish for a pig that is ready for slaughter. The life of the farmer is that of life and death, love and violence. The farmer has to take care of animals they will inevitably send to slaughter. There is a juxtaposition between those two positions, both caretaker and executioner. Every farmer will handle this problem in their own way. When you raise livestock from birth you will see they are individuals with personalities, but they are still your property and livelihood. The relationship is that of the master and the slave, evident by the use of the relationship between farmer and livestock in BDSM and fetish situations. For farmers, it's not as clear who controls who.
